Institutional Compliance

The University of Texas at Dallas is committed to maintaining a learning and working environment that is free from discrimination and harassment based on sex in accordance with federal and state laws, including Title IX of the Higher Education Amendments of 1972, a federal law that prohibits discrimination on the basis of sex in educational programs or activities.

UT Dallas’s Sexual Misconduct Policy prohibits all forms of sex-based discrimination and sexual misconduct, including sexual harassment, sexual violence, sexual assault, stalking, domestic violence and/or dating violence. The University’s commitment to equal opportunity extends its nondiscrimination protections to include sexual orientation, gender expression, and gender identity. Retaliation against any individual who submits a report, files a complaint, or otherwise participates in the investigation or disciplinary process under the policy is prohibited.

For information regarding the disciplinary process that may occur after an investigation is completed, see the policy applicable to the respondent: the Student Code of Conduct, Discipline and Dismissal of Classified Employees Policy, or University Policy on Faculty Conduct.
